Our Simple 3 Step Process

Discovery

Sellers provide their information and financials to the Budden Group (BG) team, requesting an initial seller’s discovery call. Achieving acceptance for this call with BG indicates strong potential for a successful exit. Only 6.8% of businesses that contact BG proceed to this stage.

The discovery call, a pleasant and straightforward discussion between the business owner and BG team members, serves to delve deeper into the business and assess the feasibility of acquisition. During the call, BG focuses on two key questions: What are the seller's desires, and can BG fulfill them?

Valuation

Valuation is crucial for assessing a business's value, ensuring fairness in acquisitions. Budden Group (BG) calculates valuation by multiplying EBIDTA or SDE by an industry multiple, considering additional factors like market data, competitors, and assets.

During this stage, BG gathers and validates data to justify the company's valuation, while the business owner can provide any supplementary data. Half of the businesses entering the discovery phase progress to completing the valuation process.

Offer

Making an Offer: Once BG understands the business and determines a fair valuation for it, the final phase is to present the offer to the business owner.

The offer can consist of an acquisition, a partnership, or a combination of both. Acceptance of an offer from the business owner means that the business owner can expect a closing within weeks, sometimes even days -- not months.
